Twenty years! As if it were yesterday I remember the parking lot in the center of Leiden, The Netherlands, in the summer of 1993. I'll never forget my first glance of the couple of dozen Buddhist Shingon monks from the Daigoji Sanboin, Kyoto, in full ceremonial dress walking into the fenced off, make shift ritual space accompanied by the sounds of conkshell horns and metalic prayer staffs.
