Arrow Breaking and Steel Rebar Bending |
Besides firewalking a few other extremely transformative processes from the SUNDOOR school, can be especially tailored into workshops that fit seamlessly into events of personal empowerment and spiritual growth.
The arrow breaking and steel rebar bending are both highly effective tools that allow you to move beyond inner and outer obstacles toward your goals and desires. They are also very powerful in creating group synergy, group support and in achieving group objectives.
The arrow breaking exercise was developed in the late 80's by Peggy Dylan from the example of a Fijian ritual, and has since been part of SUNDOOR's training curriculum. It can be applied in a myriad of ways but most often the exercise is done in order to break through limiting beliefs and emotions, energizing one's vision and goals and moving toward fulfillment of one's dreams and desires.
Steel rebar bending developed out of the arrow break and was introduced into SUNDOOR in the early 90's. I use a 6-7 feet / 2 meter long, 4/10" / 10mm diameter steel reinforcement bar that is used for reinforcing concrete. It's an excellent exercise to align group members with each other and the larger whole. The rebar bend teaches commitment, cooperation, team-work, following through and how to effectively channel one's own creative power for lasting results.
Both the arrow break and the rebar bend can easily be incorporated into larger events as one of the main exercises, or seperately as a two to three hour workshop in their own right, especially tailored to your group's needs and desires.
