RELEASE FORMS
Prior to participating in a workshop, seminar or event, organizing a workshop, seminar or event, or hiring Maarten Elout for a workshop, seminar or event, it is mandatory to agree to these Terms and Conditions and to sign release forms regarding:
- intellectual property
- photographic, video and audio material
- liability
Failure to comply to Maarten Elout's Terms and Conditions and/or failure to provide the mandatory signed releases may result in being refused participation, or may result in cancellation of the workshop, seminar or event, without the right to a refund.
PRICING POLICY
Prices and discounts for workshops and events are determined on an event to event basis or by the local organizers in local currency. Participants using the online payment facility will be charged in Euros and conversion fees charged by your bank may apply. Prices will periodically be re-evaluated and conversion rates adjusted accordingly. However, it is not warranted that the workshop prices are accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. In case an error is discovered Maarten Elout reserves the right to cancel any participation to its workshop(s) or event(s) until the correct payment has been made. The party involved will be notified and given opportunity to be refunded or to make additional payments.
DEPOSITS, PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATION POLICY PUBLIC EVENTS
When signing up for a public workshop or event you are liable to pay a set deposit to ensure your participation. The total sum of the deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE. Two weeks prior to the workshop / event payment of the final balance or payment of the full workshop fee is required to ensure participation. In case of cancellation of participation by the third party within two weeks prior to the workshop or event the total sum of the full workshop fee is considered null and void (no longer valid, refundable or enforceable).
In the event Maarten Elout cancels an event or workshop
Maarten Elout reserves the right to cancel events and workshops up to 1 week in advance. Third parties (participants) are entitled to a full refund of the fee(s) paid to Maarten Elout in the event of cancellation, unless otherwise stated in the contract.
In the event Maarten Elout provides a substitute workshop leader to take his place
In the event that Maarten Elout is not able to personally oversee and lead a workshop, training or event due to unforeseen circumstances, he reserves the right to send (a) qualified representative(s) to take his place and conduct the workshop to the contractually required standards. No financial claim can be made to incur Maarten Elout for alleged damages at any time should this occur.
DEPOSITS, PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATION POLICY CORPORATE/GROUP EVENTS
When hiring Maarten Elout for a workshop or event you, the organizer, are liable to pay a set deposit upon finalizing the contract. The total sum of the deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE. The final balance of the total fee plus expenses is due within two weeks after the workshop / event has taken place. In case of cancellation by the organizer within two months of the workshop/event the organizer is liable for 20% of the total fee. In case of cancellation within two weeks prior to the workshop or event the organizer is liable for 70% of the total fee.
In the event Maarten Elout cancels an event or workshop
Maarten Elout reserves the right to cancel events and workshops up to four weeks in advance. The organizer is entitled to a full refund of the deposit and/or fees paid to Maarten Elout in the event of cancellation, unless otherwise stated in the contract. Maarten Elout is not liable for any damages or costs already incurred by the organizer should this occur.
In the event Maarten Elout provides a substitute workshop leader to take his place
In the event that Maarten Elout is not able to personally oversee and lead the workshop, training or event due to unforeseen circumstances, he reserves the right to send (a) qualified representative(s) to take his place and conduct the workshop to the contract's required standards. The organizer is liable to full payment of the contract fee for the event. No financial claim can be made to incur Maarten Elout for alleged damages at any time should this occur.
REFUNDS
Maarten Elout only refunds workshop fees, deposits or percentages of, to the third party/organizer according to its cancellation policy as stated above. Bank transfer fees, Credit Card fees or any other fee the third party/organizer incurred in its payment transaction will not be refunded. Travel costs or any other indirect costs (like hotel reservations) incurred by the third party/organizer will not be refunded.
PAYPAL & WEB SITE SECURITY
maartenelout.com uses the services of PAYPAL for all its online money transactions. Maarten Elout does not assume any responsibility or liability for the services of PAYPAL. Please be advised to review its specific terms and conditions at www.paypal.com.
LIABILITY
maartenelout.com is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. Maarten Elout makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of this site or the information, content, materials, or products included on this site. You expressly agree that your use of this site is at your sole risk. To the full extent permissible by applicable law, Maarten Elout disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
